All-American Rejects singer Tyson Ritter reflected on his experience withMachine Gun Kellygoing “ballistic” while he was working on a movie withMegan Fox.
For context, Tyson starred in the 2023 movieJohnny & Clydewith Megan. In a recent interview, Tyson described it as “kind of a bad movie” before delving into his time on set.
“We’re on set, I go over to Megan’s trailer because in the film there was this scene where she basically teases me, putting my fingers in her mouth. She’s like a villain, I’m her henchman," he began.
“So I walked over to her and wanted to discuss this moment where a monster rips out her fucking heart, that’s her death scene,” he continued. “There’s her man in there with her. This Colson guy, who you know asMachine Gun Kelly. I call him ‘Pistol Pete.'”
“I was like, ‘Hey Megan, you know, I wanted to talk to you about this moment where when you die, because you’ve been teasing me, putting your fingers in my mouth, that when you’re dead, I put my fingers in your mouth. And it’s sort of this resolution to my character, like getting his revenge.”
However, MGK did not take this well. “Colson just goes from zero to like awesome rage and super angry. He was super bummed about me asking if I could put my fingers inMegan Fox’s mouth. I knew she was right there and he just went ballistic. He kind of went maniac mode," Tyson said.
Tyson ended up calling the incident “the greatest gift” for his role in the 2022 moviePrisoner’s Daughter, which he was shooting simultaneously. “[The character] goes from zero to ape shit and I was really struggling with how to throw that switch," he said, noting that his performance was both inspired by his own father’s struggles with alcohol and the moment with MGK. “I remember when Pistol Pete started going ape on me, I was like,This is really confrontational but also thank you dude.He might have been having a bad day.”
As for what happened next, Tyson said that there was “no resolution.” He continued, “I was just like, ‘What the actual fuck is happening?’ He had this baby’s arm of a joint dangling out of his mouth and he was fully unhinged. … Megan was such a sweetheart to work with that it was a really singular moment.”
As for the state of Megan and MGK’s current relationship, they were spotted together asrecentlyas last night amid reports that they are back together.
