Earlier this month, Elizabeth also told theNew York Timesher thoughts on Amanda’s portrayal of her inThe Dropout, as well as other potential film and TV adaptations of her story. “They’re not playing me,” she said. “They’re playing a character I created.”
So it only makes sense that Amanda, in turn, is now offering her take on Elizabeth’s prison sentence.
During a recent appearance onGood Morning America, Amanda was asked point-blank what she thought about Elizabeth’s fate.
“There’s two kids that are hanging in the balance here. As a parent — just as a mom,” Amanda began in reaction to Elizabeth’s prison sentence.
“Life’s not fair, but in a lot of ways, it’s fair. It’s fair for her, in particular.”
