" Listen , we ’re in the public heart , so that ’s truss to happen . I was a set thin and I did gain some weight — that comes with the territory . "

This post contains discussion of body image issues.

Bebe Rexhahas been speaking out about body-shaming recently, and it’s been very refreshing.

Last month, sherespondedto people who were still discussing her body online, calling the conversation “upsetting.”

Earlier this month, she also revealed that her record labeltold her to lose weightwhen she was first signed.

During a recent appearance onTheJennifer HudsonShow, Bebe talked more about how the discussion around her weight makes her feel, as well as her recent PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) diagnosis.

TheMayo Clinicdefines PCOS as " a trouble with internal secretion that happens during the reproductive years . "

“It’s one of the leading causes of why women gain weight and are obese,” she told Jennifer. “I literally jumped, like, 30 pounds so quickly, maybe a little bit more.”

“But we gotta just be positive and just show people love.”

Nonetheless, not everyone has been kind and fair — and Bebe addressed that while talking to Jennifer. “Listen, we’re in the public eye, so that’s bound to happen,” she said.

“I was a lot thinner and I did gain some weight — that comes with the territory. I’m not mad about it because it is true, but when you see things like that, it does mess with you.”

“You don’t know what somebody’s going through, what they’re going through in their life, so it kind of is tough,” she continued.

“But I feel like we’re in 2023 … we should not be talking about people’s weight,” Bebe added.

That’s real. Watch the interview cliphere.
