Book-to-film adaptations can be a bit hit or miss; sometimes it’s just impossible to translate the words on the page onto the big screen.
Often, the changes that are made feel like a poor imitation, but from time to time they’re actually quite necessary.
I was recently informed that, in the originalStuart Littlenovel, Stuart is somehow the family’s biological child, and I think making him adopted was a pretty good call…

There’s a lot to say about Kubrick’s take onThe Shining, but perhaps you’re happy that the book’s giant topiaryanimalswere swapped out for the terrifying maze.
Maybe you appreciate that the movie version ofThe Witchestransformed the kids back to their human form, instead of keeping them as mice with very short lifespans.
Or were you pleased to see that the film version ofThe Hunger Gamesmade Peeta way more independent than he was in the books?
