I do understand personal preference , and i respect that , but if I was a marital woman , and a mother , i do n’t believe it would be of good taste sensation for me to step out in the ensemble Ciara step out in for the Oscars after company . It undermine the sacredness of what you ’ve created

Despite the criticism, Ciara says she has no regrets about wearing the dress.

“I was fitted for the dress in Paris as I attended the Dundas show. Peter [Dundas] has been a close friend since we attended theMet Galain 2021. He knows me well, and he gets and knows the woman’s body,” sheexplainedto LVR magazine (via People).

Ciara added: “I love the concept with the black crystal versus white crystals; I loved the black sheer and combination of it all and seeing it on the runway. It’s a process of getting ready for the red carpet. I pay attention to every detail. I have an appreciation for the art of fashion and the vision of the artist who created the garment.”

She alsotoldV-103 Atlanta that when it comes to her fashion choices, she doesn’t “do things for the opinions of others.” “You can’t live your life for the opinion of others. Like, you’ll never fully be yourself. You’ll always be lost and confused.”

“And whatever you do, you do it with confidence,” she continued. “Everything that I do, I’m not gonna do if I don’t do with it confidence. I gotta be proud of what I do.”

“I’m also an artist,” she added, “… [So] sometimes you take risks, sometimes you try different things. And you have fun. Sometimes, things may be too risqué, sometimes they may be not enough. But that’s the point of artistry.”

“So for me, when I do things, I’m always looking at it from a lens of artistry and, in most cases, creativity, and so I had a great time at the Vanity Fair Oscars party.”
