Chris says he has no plans to ever host the show — and has actually been avoiding it for years.
Apparently, the whole thing is just a little bit too nerve-racking for him, which is completely understandable.
“I’ve avoided hostingSNLlike the plague for years now just because I’m so scared,” Chris toldEntertainment Tonight Canada. “It’s terrifying to me.”
He continued, “To me, it would just be one of those things that every single night I would wake up in a cold sweat.”
“I just know how I would feel,” Chris said. “It would just be an everyday anxiety, constant regret. Why did I do this? I could have been comfortable at my house, in my bed, not worrying about this.”
Chris says that in addition to causing “a lot of sleepless nights” for him, he also just feels like he’s not that funny either.
“I’m not a funny person. Maybe I only feel that because I have very, very funny friends who once told me I’m not a funny person,” Chris explained.
While that’s just simply not true, Chris says he’d still be down to make a quick cameo on the show.
“A cameo, I can handle,” Chris said, later adding, “A cameo sounds great, that’s perfect. In and out…get your toes wet.”
Although fans won’t catch Chris hostingSaturday Night Live,you can catch him in the new movieGhostedwhen it hits theaters later this month.
