" I need to look like the salutary version of myself . So , whatever I can do — because thankfully , I have funds to do so . "
Kim Cattrallexplained her changing thoughts on plastic surgery.#
Back in 2008, Kimsaidthat she wasn’t interested in having plastic surgery as she didn’t “want to look in the mirror and not recognize who’s looking back.” That’s not to say that she was entirely against cosmetic work, as she was candid about using Botox between her eyebrows.#
When asked about whether she still rules out surgery, Kim, now 66, replied, “I probably said that in my 40s! I’m in my 60s now, and I’m all about battling aging in every way I can.”#
“There are so many other alternatives now, treatments that stimulate your own body to fight aging. There are fillers, Botox, there’s so many different things that you can investigate and try and see if it’s for you,” she continued.#
“But yes, if you have the money and, more importantly, the right surgeon. It can’t be emphasized enough. You want to look like you!”#
There was one experience that stood out to her in particular, when she visited a plastic surgeon’s office with a friend (who was the one who wanted surgery), and she realized that every woman in the waiting room resembled the surgeon’s girlfriend. “I thought, this is what he does, he does this woman,” she explained. “But I want to look like the best version of myself. So, whatever I can do — because thankfully, I have funds to do so.”#
“It’s not just a vanity thing,” Kim added. “I play a certain kind of woman who looks a certain kind of way. And professionally, I am looking after myself.”#
Then, when asked about her neck, she replied, “You know what? I have fantastic light here. If you don’t know anything about lighting, you should learn. Go to the light.”#
