Recently, I asked the BuzzFeed Community abouttheir favourite kissing scenesof all time. What they might not have expected is, I’m gonna watch and rank the best submissions we received!
So, let’s get into it! For this part one, we’ll be ranking the best ever kissing scenes from MOVIES.
17.French Kiss –Kevin Kline and Meg Ryan
Judge it for yourself:
My intellection : I do n’t think anyone could deny this is a capably performed kiss . The grasping of her dress is a skillful touch , and the setting and medicine is definitely romantic . It ’s tricky cos I do n’t know this film , so I ’ve get no estimate what precedes this conniption . In and of itself , it ’s just fine . I ’ll be honest , I ’m slightly prejudiced against this because neither of them are very attractive to me , no-good . I ’ll by all odds give this a watch though!3/10
16.The Princess Bride– Cary Elwes and Robin Wright
Here’s the scene in question:
My thought : Do n’t detest me , but this is just a buss to me . I have n’t seenThe Princess Bridein years , and this osculation certainly has n’t stuck in my mind . The frame taradiddle with the sure-enough man and the boy is cunning , but the kiss does n’t set my world on fervidness . I might involve a rewatch , but for now , it ’s a bit meh to me.4/10
15.Spider-Man –Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst

My opinion : It ’s ironical that even though this is probably one of the most iconic kisses in modern cinema history , it wasapparently awful to film , and both doer really struggled to get it done ! The candy kiss starts off well , and there ’s something sexy about it , especially in the fact that Mary - Jane is in controller and Peter has to hang there and subject .
However , when it cuts to the side THE WAY I LAUGHED OUT LOUD . This valet ’s chin is IN this woman ’s face , it looks so weird scratch against her nose . Why did n’t zoom out a bit ? So … Iconic ? Yes . Good ? Not so sure.4.5/10
14.Practical Magic –Sandra Bullock and Mark Feuerstein
Here’s the scene for ya:
My thinking : There ’s a certain something to this , and my God does Sandra look beautiful ! I like how happy to see each other they are and the jump is great , but I rather care they ’d root for the television camera back to see her in his arm . The other thing is , as soon as she ’s up there , Sandra ’s brilliant haircloth sort of swamps him and you ca n’t see anything . I sympathise the significance of this scene to the game , and the music work super well , but the candy kiss by itself is n’t super strong . It ’s mainly about that jump , I think!5/10
13.The Holiday –Cameron Diaz and Jude Law

My thoughts : So this person has been cheeky and say every buss , but I ’m going to have whittle that down to just one view , I ’m afraid … So , I ’ll go with the first buss between these two – the one with the eyelid stuff . plainly , what ’s exciting about this tantrum is their exigent chemistry and the spontaneousness of it all . It ’s a very in force buss between two very well - looking people ! What ’s not to love?6/10
12.First Knight –Richard Gere and Julia Ormond
Judge this one for yourself:
My mentation : So , I do n’t know this moving-picture show , but I ’m totally buy into their making love … They ’re so distressing to be parting ! The buss is splendid , it makes common sense why Richard really was the heartthrob of his generation . Very passion , much romance . The way they turn to confront Sean when he embark is too comical though – totally stamp out the vibe.6.5/10

11.The Replacements –Keanu Reeves and Brooke Langton
Here’s the kiss in question:
My thoughts : Okay , I like this . There are a lot of play elements – the Sung dynasty , the looking to each other , the secret plan comment over the top of the literal kiss . I conceive what I like best is that Annabelle ( Brooke ) looks so discomfited when Shane ( Keanu ) leave behind , that when he stop and turns around , you ’re like " yessss ! "
The music works really well , but part of me does wish it was more impulsive on Shane ’s part . I really care the commentary , but he should ’ve belt along back over to kiss her rather of awkwardly shuffling back there . Plus , there are too many flavor between each other – it gets a bit funny after four!7/10
10.Pride & Prejudice –Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen

My thoughts : This is an interesting submission because there is technically no kiss ! The whole scene is very atmospherical , and if you love Austen and the novel this is found on , I can see how you ’d be super absorbed by everything going on here . This is sort of the dénouement of the whole story , and it ’s super well done . I love the euphony and the inflammation and the performances .
I have to say , I personally do n’t ~love~ Matthew as Darcy , but I adore Keira in this character . I guess what ’s squeamish about this vista is it make up the much anticipated softening of Darcy ’s character , and their pairing is very sweet . I imagine , in isolation from the relief of the film , this scene is n’t as impactful , but the final frame is pretty stunning.7/10
9.Penelope –James McAvoy andChristina Ricci

My thinking : The pig mask does take me out of this a bit , but I get why she ’s wearing it . Besides that , this is a very good scene and I altogether agree that James looks like a good kisser – he ’s just enthusiastic enough and his hand go to all the right places . We bonk a unspoiled catch before a candy kiss too – muy sensual!!7.5/10
8.Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End – Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley
For your viewing pleasure:
My thoughts : God , so much nostalgia in this movie ! I do n’t remember this scene , but I obviously view these celluloid . This is a very different introduction to the eternal sleep on this list , but it ’s pretty great , honestly . There ’s funniness , action , and romance all in one scene here , and the kiss itself is fab . Who roll in the hay two incredibly beautiful people do a choreographed osculation would be so slap-up ? I do bid he ’d kissed her the first time though – that was a great fall by him.7.5/10
7.Maurice –James Wilby and Rupert Graves

My thoughts : I really like this moving picture , and as a piece of moving picture , it ’s certainly not afraid to search jocund love and the male form , which is smashing ! This is a very loving commutation with a keen vivid look in the heart of the kissing , but it still has urgency and passion . Plus , Rupert Graves is also sooooo dreamy . The accent mark is a lot though ( and I ’m from Somerset , so I ’m supposed to be used to it!)8/10
6.A Cinderella Story– Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray
The lovely rainy kiss:
My thought : Do n’t get me wrong , I eff this celluloid , but I do n’t know that these two have amazinggg chemistry . I ’ve always find that they look too like – like , that ’s a set of light-haired for one twain . That being said , I reckon this scenery being as neat as it is come down to a combining of several thing .
The rainfall , the dramatic play , a nostalgic and exciting incarnation of American high shoal lifespan , and a FANTASTIC song . The osculation is good , and they are both beautiful mass , but it ’s all of those thing together that make it so brilliant . Plus , they ended a drought!8.5/10
5.The Notebook– Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams

My thoughts : So , I ’ve obviously heard of this kiss , and I watched the moving picture many Sun Myung Moon ago ! you may tell how fraught with emotion this moment is , and I do like that sorting of undetermined mouth thing Rachel does before Ryan buss her . you could tell A LOT has been leading up to this kiss – things unsaid and un - realised . It ’s also suuuuuper atmospheric with the rainwater . likely a textbook wild-eyed movie kiss if there ever was one , which , I guess , is why they stick it on the pic poster!8.5/10
4.Carol –Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara
In case you wanted to watch for yourself:
My thoughts : This is a fantastic moving-picture show , and I remember a sight had been leading up to this moment ! I love how they relate emotionally just before the buss , and that there is ( intelligibly ) so much latent hostility in the zephyr before it happens . The osculation itself is just great – super well shot and improbably romantic . It ’s just a minuscule bit too hold , I think.9/10
3.10 Things I Hate About You –Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger

My thoughts : It ’s toilsome to ignore the context of this scene , but in and of itself , it ’s very cute and there are circle of great elements that make it a pretty awful kiss . Most of these can be attributed to Heath ’s performance , honestly . We ’re talking the way he switch Julia down , the way he fling off his goggles , the fashion their arms enclose around each other . Who does n’t wanna be kissed like that?9.5/10
2.Girl Next Door –Emile Hirsch and Elisha Cuthbert
Knock yourself out:
My thoughts : Okay , yes , this is one heck of a candy kiss . I remember the intimate tension in this movie being off the chart moderately much all the way through , but this buss is just great . It helps that both Emile and Elisha are so beautiful , but I do love the way he rushes in and cuts up that guy rope to get to her . They join so seamlessly , and they both bet great together . Great Sung dynasty selection too!9.5/10
1.Brokeback Mountain –Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal
My thoughts : Ugh , YES . From the moment Ennis smiles out of the window to when he reluctantly back away back within , this vista is perfect . The unbridled Passion of Christ and transparent aggression of this reunion is all you could want and more ! It ’s so well acted , in particular by the late Heath Ledger . I love how Jack loses his hat and they both fight to stop themselves . It ’s just a shame that poor Alma sees them.10/10
