Ireland Baldwindidn’t have the most traditional baby shower — and her momKim Basingerdidn’t quite know how to react!
Back in March, Ireland celebrated her upcoming arrival with a strip club extravaganza where she was “showered… in booty,” among other things.
While the whole thing honestly looked like a lot of fun, Ireland admits her mom was unsure ofwhat to makeof the event.
“My mom’s pretty open but I would say she was pretty mortified,” Ireland admitted on theHigh Low with EmRatapodcast.
She continued, “She watched me and my boyfriend get lap dances from eight strippers on the stage, and I think she was just like, ‘What is happening right now?'”
For the most part of the event, Kim “hid in a corner” and ordered a “pinot grigio at the bar with ice” — but Ireland convinced her to take part in the fun for a little bit.
“She didn’t even know what to do with the money,” Ireland said. “She threw a crumpled dollar bill as fast and as hard as she could…because she was so scared.”
While Kim didn’t completely understand the untraditional event, Ireland said she was very glad that her conservative “Christian family” members “did not attend” — nor were they invited.
And aftersuch a difficult pregnancy, Ireland definitely deserved to have some carefree fun!
