People noticed that he was wearing a bonnet.

Many Black people wear bonnets to maintain moisture in their hair and prevent hair from frizzing. According toAllure, there’s been debate in the Black community about wearing them in public settings.
In 2021, comedianMo’Niquemade a controversial video urging Black women to stop wearing their bonnets in public. “I wanna make sure I’m not saying it in judgment, and I wanna make sure I’m saying it from a place of love,” she said. “Y’all, some of y’all have given me the title of ‘auntie.'” Mo then said she’s been seeing a lot of Black women with “head bonnets, scarves, slippers, pajamas, [and] blankets wrapped around them” in public.
So as you can see, it’s a sensitive, controversial topic. So when people saw Jack wearing this bonnet in public — doing the same thing that some Black women do and are often criticized for — they had some thoughts.
