Jennifer portrayed the iconic character across a whopping four films between 2012 and 2015 — but she won’t be returning in the upcoming prequel,The Hunger Games: the Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, for obvious reasons (Katniss doesn’t appear in it).
But! Don’t take that to mean that Jennifer’s days with the franchise are firmly in the past — it sounds like quite the opposite, in fact.
In an interview withVariety, Jennifer was asked if she would ever return to the franchise to portray Katniss again — and her answer was firmly and undeniably positive.
“Oh, my God – totally!” she exclaimed. “If Katniss ever could ever come back into my life, 100 percent.”
“My producing partner just clutched her heart," she added.
A few months later, she alsorevealedthat the producers of theHunger Gamesfilms had pressured her to lose weight.
So, we’ll see what happens!
