" You know how it is on a plane , if you see a trajectory attendant not being super confident , you ’re like uh oh . "
Well, I have a story that will be sure to calm your flight anxiety*!#
Back in March,Matthew McConaugheyandCamila AlvesMcConaughey were on a flight from Austin to Germany when their plane randomly dropped 4,000 feet.#
That’s, like, two Empire State Buildings.#
This issue was so newsworthy that itmade headlines.#
“On Flight last night, I was told [the] plane dropped almost 4000 feet, 7 people went to the hospital, everything was flying everywhere," she said.#
Scary!#
And now we’re hearing more terrifying details from Matthew on Kelly Ripa’sLet’s Talk Off Camerapodcast.#
Here’s what he said it felt like…#
“It suspended disbelief. It’s zero gravity.”#
“Your red wine and the glass and the plates that your food was on are all suspended, floating, still…just in the air. And to look at it for that long, which wasn’t that long: one, two, three, four [seconds]…and then boom everything just comes crashing down.”#
“It’s a complete loss of control. A 100% feeling of I am not in control. I have no way to get in control in the moment.”#
“My tray table is what held me down. I did not have my seatbelt on, and there was not a seatbelt warning right before it happened.”#
“We held hands just saying, ‘OK, is that it? Is there another one coming?’ And another one did come.”#
“It was odd. You hear people’s reactions. Some people were ghost silent. Some people had big bursts of laughter ‘ha ha ha ha.’ And it was not like, ‘Oh, this is fun.’ It was like, ‘I’m in shock.'”#
“And you know how it is on a plane, if you see a flight attendant not being extremely confident, you’re like uh oh.”#
“We had to re-route to Washington Dulles that night. I was on my way to Vietnam. It was the hairiest flight I’ve had by far.”#
Well, I’m glad everyone was okay.#
