That Next Door neighborhood group must be lit .

Last Fall,Matthew Perryreleased his memoir, and for a few weeks, we were bombarded with “Matthew Perry did this” and “Matthew Perry did that” stories. We learned a lot about Matthew Perry against our will.

But one of the weirdest parts of his memoir were two very strange and very random digs atKeanu Reeves.

Like, who does that?!

The first mention involved the passing of Matthew’s friend, River Phoenix.

Matthewsays: “Why is it that the original thinkers like River Phoenix andHeath Ledgerdie, butKeanu Reeves still walks among us?”

What a weird thing to say!

Keanu randomly gets brought up again when Matthew discusses the overdose of his other friend,Chris Farley.

“I punched a hole through Jennifer Aniston’s dressing room wall when I found out,” hesaid. “Keanu Reeves walks among us.”

Bizarro!

And now it seems like we finally havesomeclarity on this whole thing, because Matthew finally said why he chose Keanu in the first place…

“I said a stupid thing. It was a mean thing to do,” Perrytold a crowdat the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books.

“I pulled his name because I live on the same street. I’ve apologized publicly to him. Any future versions of the book will not have his name in it.”

So, there you go. He used his name because they live on the same street.

He must really hate his lawn or something.
