" It ’s the most merriment I ’ve had work on a movie in I ca n’t say you how long . "

We said it three times, and now we have received. Fans of the originalBeetlejuicefilm have even more to look forward to now thatMichael Keaton, who played the infamous “bio-exorcist” in the first film, has revealed a few delightful details for the upcoming sequel, which, I, personally, am ecstatic about.

Michael, who will reprise his role as the titular Beetlejuice, revealed in an interview withEmpire, “We’re doing it exactly like we did the first movie.”

“[Burton] and I were talking about it years and years ago, never telling anybody. I said, ‘If it happens, first of all, we’ve both said we’re doing it many times. We both agreed, if it happens, it has to be done as close to the way we made it the first time,'” said Michael.

Michael also shared that, production-wise, there will be “handmade stuff like people creating things with their hands and building something.”

In addition, there will be “improvising” and “riffing,” much like the original.

“Beetlejuiceis the most fucking fun you can have working. It’s so fun, it’s so great,” Michaelsaid. “It’s the most fun I’ve had working on a movie in I can’t tell you how long.”
