Sorry Kim K. , but I think getting paid minimum salary and not being allowed to poop during your shift is why " nobody want to work these days . "
You’ve probably heard some version of the phrase “no one wants to work anymore” tossed around over the last couple years. Maybe you’ve even seen a sign on the door of a local business claiming they’re short-staffed because “no one showed up.” Some even blaming"government handouts"as the reason.
So, if you’re wondering why workers are seemingly in short supply, I’m here to enlighten you as to why this might be happening. And I’m sorry to say, it’s not out of pure laziness.
1.Maybe it’s because people don’t want to use a degree worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to work at Smokie Mo’s.
2.Or earn the absolute bare minimum.
“ It ’s so hard to find honorable help these day ! No one wants to puzzle out anymore ! ”
The job :
The mathematics just is n’t mathing here .
3.Or, maybe it’s the ridiculously unlivable wages.
nO oNe desire tO puzzle out aNyMoRe
Yeah , should by all odds crest it at $ 11 . Rent is free , proper ?
4.I mean, it’s just a guess.
Employers : We ’ve got tons of empty Job but no one wants to influence !
The jobs :
Wow , extra time AND weekend required for $ 2.13 / hr ? ! Sounds like a dream occupation .
5.Speaking of low wages, I wonder if it’s because no one wants to PAY to work.
No one want to work anymore .
You ’ve hear of volunteer internships , now get ready for pay - your - room internships .
6.Or, maybe they just want a raise for their hard work rather than silly little perks.
7.And I mean VERY silly perks.
8.Like, borderline INSULTING perks.
9.Could be that no one wants to work when they’re sick.
" No one want to exploit anymore "
candidly , Deb , get a bag .
10.I might be wrong here, but being responsible for your illness feels a little dystopian.
11.Okay, relying on employees to DONATE sick days feels even more dystopian.
12.Maybe no one wants to work in a place that bars employees from taking time off in general.
13.Or refuses to pay them for it.
14.I’m guessing that employees don’t like being shamed into not taking vacation days, either. Just a thought.
15.Controlling employees' bowel movements also probably isn’t the way to go.
16.Telling them to control their flow might be even worse.
17.Never mind, being told to relieve yourself in a waterproof bag takes the cake.
18.And finally, I have a feeling employees don’t want to fear for their lives when they go into work.
