We ’ve all done at least one of these .

Recently, over on ther/AskRedditsubreddit,u/Matrix740posed thequestion, “What is something people do in public that makes you uncomfortable?” Commenters shared rude, annoying, and straight-up cringey activities they’ve seen other people do in public. And as much as I hate to admit it, I found myself guilty of a few of these behaviors. But hey, we’re all human! How many of these are you guilty of doing?

1.“When customers/shoppers get upset with employees who have no control over a situation, like if there aren’t enough cashiers at a store or if something isn’t in stock.”

— atomic number 92 / BadaaaBing

2.“FaceTiming. I find it incredibly rude.”

— u / Vivid_Estate_5330

3.“Arguing…loudly. It’s not a good look.”

— u/-Miss__Information-

4.“Coughing or sneezing without covering it.”

— u / aliffxx

5.“When people scream at their kids for something that wasn’t their fault.”

— u / sussyboi1357

6.“Taking photos of strangers. I’m amazed that it’s socially acceptable. I don’t want to be on your fucking Instagram.”

— u / joeduncanhull

7.“Making TikToks in public, especially the dancing ones. It gives me A LOT of secondhand embarrassment.”

— u / btter4ded

8.“Walking shoulder to shoulder and completely blocking the entire sidewalk, forcing you to dodge traffic to pass them. They never budge an inch when you say, ‘Excuse me,’ either.”

— u / SeaweedSalamander

9.“Doing that phlegmy-spit thing, and right onto the pavement in front of my eyes.”

— uranium / capricabuffy

10.“Nothing makes me want to smile less and punch a face more than being told to smile, especially if I’m at work. And if I do manage to muster a smile, it’s only because I’m envisioning bonking you over the head with a large wooden mallet.”

— u / Shaw - Deez

11.“Grooming someone else. For example, a girl popping her boyfriend’s facial pimples on the subway. He can easily do those himself. If you must (and it’s really weird in the first place), do it in private.”

— u / fritter4me

12.“Kissing. Not like a show of affection or a quick kiss. I’m talking about couples who look as if one person might swallow the other person’s head if they kept going.”

— u / DavosLostFingers

13.“Listening to loud music without headphones while shopping.”

— u / SleepSecret7735

14.“Answering the phone while on the toilet in a public bathroom.”

— u/_mr_meow _ _

15.“Getting in my bubble when telling me something. It’s not yours, bruh.”

— u / misterget2it

16.“Preaching and pushing a religion on someone. I had a woman come up to me once and debate God while I was just going about my day.”

— u/_ManWhoSoldTheWorld _

17.And finally, “Hearing someone LOUDLY blowing their nose at the dinner table still grosses me out a little bit. I’m not talking about a discreet dab, or that soft one you have to do when your nose is running from spicy food, but the loud, honk-like-a-goose, pull-it-up-from-your-ankles version. Grody.”
