" That is the sadness of how I feel . "

Nearly six months afterChristine McViedied,Stevie Nicksis opening up about grieving her formerFleetwood Macbandmate’s death.

According to a video shared on Twitter, Stevie provided an update on how she’s doing during her concert on Monday in Atlanta. Specifically, Stevie thankedTaylor Swiftfor one of her more recent songs that helped her process the loss of Christine.

“Thank you to Taylor Swift for doing a favor for me, and that is, writing a song called ‘You’re on Your Own, Kid,'" Stevie said at the concert, according to the video.

“That is the sadness of how I feel,” Stevie said of the song’s message and how it relates to Christine’s death, noting she and her former collaborator “weren’t phone buddies.”

“We’d go back to Fleetwood Mac, and we’d walk in and just be like, ‘Little sister, how are you?’ Stevie said. “It was like never a minute had passed. Never an argument in our entire 47 years. Never. So when it was the two of us, the two of us were on our own, kids,” she said.

Like the message in Taylor’s song, Stevie is learning to be on her own without Christine. “We always were, and now I’m having to learn to be on my own, kid, by myself.”

This isn’t the first time Stevie has spoken positively of Taylor. In 2010, the duo performed together at the Grammys, singing “Rhiannon” by Fleetwood Mac and “You Belong With Me?” by Taylor.
