We all know that TV and movies are much more than just a way to pass the time.

The storytelling that happens on-screen can inspire us to follow a new career path, travel the world, or even do something as small as trying out a new look.

Maybe you watchedEighth Gradeand thought, “Wow, I’ve never seen social anxiety portrayed like this before. I feel so seen!”

Or perhaps you watched something like the episode ofSteven Universe Future"I Am My Monster," and realized you also had a lot of unresolved trauma and needed to find a healthy way to deal with it.

Or it could be that after watchingBeautiful Boy, you felt comfortable reaching out to your family to help you in your struggle with addiction.

So, I’m coming to you, theBuzzFeed Community, asking for you to share the movies or TV episodes about mental health that made you feel seen, and maybe even inspired you to seek help. Sharing our experiences with others can not only be cathartic, but it might also inspire others to make the first steps in taking care of their own mental health.

Your story may be part of an upcomingBuzzFeed Communitypost!
