The Color Purplehas returned, and it looks like a glorious new era for the treasured tale.
If you didn’t know,Oprah,Steven Spielberg, and Quincy Jones are among the producers behind a film adaption ofThe Color Purplemusical, which itself is based on Alice Walker’s 1982 novel and Spielberg’s 1985 film of the same name. (Spielberg and Jones were among the original film’s producers, while Oprah scored an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Sofia in the film.)
