1.Can you share your thoughts on beingthe first Latinato play Supergirl?
2.You had a pretty emotionalreactionto getting cast in this role. What do you remember about that day?
It was a very honest reaction . I had no idea that I was going to be Supergirl . First of all , I signed a contract bridge for a no - name character inThe Flashmovie . And when Andy Muschietti , [ the director ] , order me that [ I ’d been cast ] , I had this good reaction . I was thinking , " I sleep with you , Sasha , thank you for believing in yourself , no matter what anybody said . Thank you , give thanks you , thank you . " It was this here and now , " You did it , girl . You believed in yourself , and you did n’t allow anyone to tell you otherwise . " And for that , I am grateful and gallant .

I think the pilot is awing . I loved [ Melissa ’s ] introduction . We get to run into every character , and then I ’m [ see ] like , " It ’s her ! "

All I ’ll say is that I hope to stay playing Supergirl . I love her with all my heart and I thinkSupergirl : Woman of Tomorrowis an incredible comedian . Tom King really nailed it . And I think James is right : it is a really , really nerveless story [ to tell ] .
