" While we ’re worked up to commence production with our awful shape and crew , it is not possible during this hit . "

You’re gonna have to wait a little bit longer for Season 5 ofStranger Things— but it’s for good reason.

In a statement onTwitter, executive producers and showrunners the Duffer brothers announced that production on the Netflix smash’s final season has been postponed due to theongoing Writers Guild of America strike.

Duffers here . Writing does not stop when filming lead off . While we ’re worked up to initiate production with our awe-inspiring cast and crew , it is not possible during this strike . We desire a fair deal is reached presently so we can all get back to work . Until then – over and out.#wgastrong

“Duffers here. Writing does not stop when filming begins,” the statement began.

“We hope a fair deal is reached soon so we can all get back to work. Until then — over and out. #wgastrong.”

If you’re disappointed that the show’s final season has been postponed, I get it. But, honestly, the main issue to focus on here is that corporations like Netflix haven’t been paying writers fairly as the industry has drastically changed, due to the success of streaming-era shows like — you guessed it —Stranger Things.

So, if you’re a fan ofStranger Things, you should be a fan of writers getting paid fairly for their work. It’s really that simple.
