2.Florence Pugh

Last year, theDon’t Worry Darlingactor wore a stunning, sheer Valentino gown to a runway show that the Italian fashion house held in Rome. As soon as the pics came out, losers startedbody-shamingFlorence for her breasts.

In an epicInstagram post, she wrote, “What’s been interesting to watch and witness is just how easy it is for men to totally destroy a woman’s body, publicly, proudly, for everyone to see. You even do it with your job titles and work emails in your bio…? It isn’t the first time and certainly won’t be the last time a woman will hear what’s wrong with her body by a crowd of strangers, what’s worrying is just how vulgar some of you men can be. Thankfully, I’ve come to terms with the intricacies of my body that make me, me. I’m happy with all of the ‘flaws’ that I couldn’t bear to look at when I was 14.”

“So many of you wanted to aggressively let me know how disappointed you were by my ‘tiny tits’, or how I should be embarrassed by being so ‘flat chested,’ I’ve lived in my body for a long time. I’m fully aware of my breast size and am not scared of it. … It has always been my mission in this industry to say ‘fuck it and fuck that’ whenever anyone expects my body to morph into an opinion of what’s hot or sexually attractive.”

3.Barbie Ferreira

Last year, theEuphoriaactor called out an often-overlooked form of body-shaming that she’s experienced:backhanded compliments. “It’s not radical for me to be wearing a crop top. [Comments like those are] just backhanded compliments. I’ve been doing this since I was 16. I’m 25,” she toldWhoWhatWear.

She also spoke on an effect of toxic positivity and the body-positivity movement: the pressure “of being this person who ‘loves themselves.'” She continued, “It’s so funny that people just assume that. What — did I say that? I never said that. You guys just say that. You posted that on me.”

4.Amandla Stenberg

Amandla addressed the backlash on their Instagram story, explaining that they thought their DM was “hilarious” and that Lena, who is also gay, would find it funny. The actor took the opportunity to speak on the body-shaming they’ve received from being in the public eye. “The intention of why I said that, and this is my experience as an actress, it’s quite surprising. … The amount of commentary I receive on my boobs is so extreme, and this has happened since I was a teenager. I could literally be wearing a T-shirt and just because of the size of my boobs, there will be some sort of sexualization or commentary on my chest.”

The actor said they believed Lena intended to comment on the sexualization of folks in the industry. However, “I do get tired of people talking about my chest. It seems to me in Hollywood, it’s not normalized to have boobs that are above an A or a B cup. I’ve actually noticed this in my time as an actress. There seems to be a lot of unwarranted conversation around my chest, that just kind of baffles me.”

5.Lili Reinhart

In 2018, a photo of theRiverdalestar made its way around social media, with many people saying that she looked pregnant.

The actoraddressedthe chatter through a series of posts on her Instagram story. “This is just my body. And sometimes I’m bloated. Sometimes an unflattering photo is taken of me. Sometimes I go through periods of time where I gain weight. My body is something I will NEVER apologize for.”

6.Camila Cabello

In a 2019 Instagram story, the singershut downbody-shamers with an inspirational message. “My eyes accidentally ran over a headline of people body-shaming me. Honestly, first thing I felt was super insecure just IMAGINING what these pictures must look like. ‘Oh no! My cellulite!’ ‘Oh no! I didn’t suck in my stomach!’ But then I was like…of course there are bad pictures, of course there are bad angles. My body’s not made of fucking rock, or all muscle, for that matter.”

Camila said the reason behind her post was girls like her little sister. “They’re constantly seeing photoshopped, edited pictures and thinking that’s reality — everyone’s eyes get used to seeing airbrushed bodies and airbrushed skin, and suddenly they think THAT’S the norm?! It isn’t. It’s fake. AND FAKE IS BECOMING THE NEW REAL.”

7.Billie Eilish

In 2020, paparazzi picswent viralof the singer wearing a tank top. Social media users body-shamed her, with one personwriting, “Billie Eilish has developed a mid-30s wine mom body.”

“I can’t sit here and lie and say, ‘Oh, I’m bulletproof, nothing hurt me,’ because it honestly did,” she said. “And at first, I was really getting sad about it. But then I thought — why would I let that control my thoughts and feelings when I know it’s a lie? So I kind of had to give it not so much power.”

9.Bella Thorne

13.Millie Bobby Brown

During a 2022 interview withGlamour, the actor spoke about the bullying she’s received online. “I always wanted to be an actor. I always wanted to be inStranger Things. Those were the things I wanted. But there was stuff that I didn’t ask for. Some of the things that I found harder were people criticizing my body, who I am, the kind of person I am…if I talk too much. Things like that — I didn’t ask for those things. They’re cyberbullying.”

14.And finally, Zendaya

During E!‘sFashion Policecoverage of the 2015 Oscars, Giuliana Rancic infamously said Zendaya’s locs made her look like someone who smelled of “patchouli oil” or “weed.”

“There is already harsh criticism of African American hair in society without the help of ignorant people who choose to judge others based on the curl of their hair. My wearing my hair in locs on an Oscar red carpet was to showcase them in a positive light, to remind people of color that our hair is good enough,” she wrote.

A year later, actor Julie Klausnerskinny-shamedZendaya in a now-deleted tweet. “Zendaya’s ultimate retort to Giuliana Rancic is starving herself down to the size of one of her elbows. You don’t have to have an eating disorder to attend the Kids’ Choice Awards….but it helps!”

Zendaya responded, “Do you find this funny? I will write another paragraph to educate you as well.”

Do you find this funny ? I will write another paragraph to educate you aswell # youreallywannabenext ? https://t.co/z6dXOJ3Tai

“Now….everyone go look in the mirror at their beautiful body, and love that sh*t. #thickgirlswinning #skinnygirlswinning #weallwinning,” she concluded.

Now …. everyone go reckon in the mirror at their beautiful consistence , and love that shit 😘 # thickgirlswinning # skinnygirlswinning # weallwinning
