Have you heard of the concept of going no contact? It’s when someone decides to cut ties with a family member or friend entirely after numerous attempts to mend a strained relationship.
You can call it going NC (as it’s referred to online) or cutting someone off or being disowned, but the results are all the same. It’s no small thing to stop talking to a member of your family, no matter how justified you may be in it.

Have you been in this situation? Maybe you had to protect yourself from abuse or repeated disrespect of your boundaries.
Or maybe you’re someone who has been cut off for something beyond your control, like who you love or what you choose to do for a living?
So many people are part of a family where these things happen, but no one talks about it. Let’s bust these conversations open.
