Last night,Rihanna and A$AP Rocky shut down the Met Galared carpet with on-brand, show-stopping lewks, and they easily became a highlight of the night.
The beginning of the night, though, didn’t bode half as well for Rocky.
Earlier on Monday, avideotaken outside of the Carlyle Hotel — where many celebrities get ready to attend the Met — went viral for all the wrong reasons.

In the clip, a group of onlookers stand behind barriers placed outside of the Carlyle with their phones ready to catch a first peek of their favorite celebrities' outfits. But one guy decked out in an incognito hood and sunglasses pushes through the crowd to get to the front.
Then he hops up, seems to lose his balance a bit, and uses a nearby girl’s face for leverage:
Like, she’s a ladder, at this point. And other front-rowers are shocked.
The shock quickly turns to excitement, though, when the man lands on the other side of the barrier and removes his hoodie to reveal — surprise! — it’s A$AP Rocky, Yahoo Newsreported.
No longer annoyed by the pushing and face-using, the onlookers scream with excitement, and some rush to get pictures of their former crowd-mate.
Even the girl whose face was smashed starts to cheer.
And while people in the crowd seemed to quickly forgive A$AP for any rude actions, the internet is less easy to appease. After the video began circulating online, people were quick to drag the rapper:
